Products I’m Loving!

So I havent really posted anything in a while, mainly due to the silly amount of uni work I have to do! However I have found some time to feed my shopping addiction, and seeing as I get quite a few questions about what cosmetics/skincare products I like, I thought I would write a post about a few things i’m loving right now!

First off, which is a fairly new find, is the No7 Hot Clothing Cleanser which claims to boost the radiance of the skin. I’ve never used a cleanser that you apply straight onto dry skin to wipe off your makeup before, and it was a bit of an odd experience! However after a couple of months of using it i have definitely noticed my skin looking a lot more radiant and healthy. I have recently been battling with breakouts and have noticed a significant improvement after using this! I also love the way you wipe it off using a hot damp muslin cloth rather than having to splash your face with water making a big mess!

Secondly, an even newer find. After starting on my quest to find a skincare routine that didn’t aggravate my sensitive skin, or break me out I stumbled across the Liz Earle skincare line. As this is new I wont say too much about it however so far, so good! I love how gentle it is and it also smells amazing!

Now, this product came into my life after I had a nasty reaction to the bismuth oxychloride ingredient in the Bare Minerals foundation (which is supposedly meant to be all natural and good for your skin.. hmm) Anyway, after waking up with a horrible rash all over my face I went out and bought this cream which I had read was amazing for skin problems such as allergic reactions. It was AMAZING and cleared the rash completely within 3 days! It is also great to use under makeup as its so light. So this will stay by my side forever more…

I have found this matte cream by MAC a very useful product, especially in hotter climates. It goes on a sort of gel and dries like a powder that you can wear as a makeup primer in oily areas or just apply straight to bare skin to stop any unwanted shine. I just think its a beautiful, handy product to have on-the-go!

No7 Skin Illuminator in Peach, I bought this after watching one of Lisa Eldridge’s videos and thought it would be amazing for summer on bare skin instead of using foundation, and i’ve been using it ever since! Amazing stuff.

Maybelline tattoo eyeshadow in Permanent Taupe. I thought these looked interesting as i’ve never been able to wear cream eyeshadows due to my tiny-chinese-noeyelids eyes that always get crease lines, so when I saw they were 24 hour and crease resistant I bought one to try out, and can say that I am glad I did! They come in lots of funky colours, however i’m more of a nude shade kinda girl so went for a taupe/browny colour!

Revlon lip butter in Strawberry Shortcake - I love these they come in a nice variety of colours, however this is my favourite. I think it will be lovely for the summer as their ultra moisturising and have a good build able colour to them, great for my never ending dry lips!

This is something i’ve used for yeaaaars in my hair, it’s just plain coconut oil from Superdrug for £1. I get quite a few questions on how I grow my hair so long and keep it in such good condition and I guess this would be my answer! I simple melt it in my hands, run it through my hair and leave it in over night about once a week (or fortnight if i’m being lazy) and voila! No need for any of those expensive products that claim to fix your split ends (which is impossible.) You can also use this on dry areas of skin such as knees, elbows or even lips! Plus it smells AMAZING.

Summer 2012

Finally got round to booking a holiday with the boy, just after my final hand-ins and finishing university forever! Perfect.
